LUFKIN, TX ( News Release) - The Lufkin Police Department on Thursday released video of a weekend armed robbery of Cash Now on South Timberland Drive.

The video shows a black male and Hispanic male walk into the store at 107 S. Timberland Drive around 11:20 a.m. Saturday and ask a clerk about the loan process. After she hands them a business card and flier, the black male pulls out a handgun, points it at her and demands money from the register. The Hispanic male then throws a grocery sack at her and demands all the money from the register. After she complies, the black male takes the other male clerk working at the time to the back and demands money from the safe.

After getting the money from the safe, the black male jumps over the counter and flees on foot with the Hispanic male. They fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The clerks described the black male as a stocky, 6’0 tall, with short hair covered by a black “doo rag” and some facial hair, wearing a maroon shirt and blue jeans. They described the Hispanic male as skinny, 5’6 tall, wearing a white T-shirt and black baseball cap.
