LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

Officers with the Lufkin Police Department arrested a man and a woman on drug and gun charges after a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Feagin Drive early Friday morning.

Later, corrections officers at the Angelina County Jail found meth in the woman's bra, according to a police report.

Darron Dewayne Brown, 19, and Dedra Michelle Taylor, 45, both of Lufkin, are still being held in the Angelina County Jail.

Brown’s charges include three counts of state-jail felony credit or debit card abuse, Class A misdemeanor unlawfully carrying a weapon, four counts of Class C misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia-marijuana, and a Class C misdemeanor no driver’s license charge. Taylor was charged with state-jail felony possession of a controlled substance less than one gram, Class A misdemeanor engaging in organized criminal activity, and Class C misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Collectively, Brown’s bail amount was set at $4,766, and Taylor’s collective bail amount was set at $2,000.

According to the Lufkin Police Department’s daily activity report, an LPD officer stopped a Pontiac 4-door car driven by Taylor in the 1700 block of Feagin Drive at about 3:07 a.m. Friday. When the officer ran their driver’s licenses, it turned out that they both had outstanding arrest warrants.

A search of the car turned up an H&R Inc. 732 pistol and eight rounds of .32-caliber ammunition, a Lusk BWC, and a marijuana pipe. Later, corrections officers at the Angelina County Jail found that Taylor had a methamphetamine in her bra.
