NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - A two-vehicle wreck involving a Jeep SUV and an 18-wheeler on State Highway 103 East in Angelina County is blocking all four lanes of traffic.
The wreck occurred about three miles outside of Lufkin on Highway 103 East at about 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Emergency crews worked to free the driver of the SUV after the vehicle wound up lodged under the 18-wheeler's trailer. The driver of the SUV was transported to CHI St. Luke's Health Memorial for treatment of minor injuries, according to Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Marc Slocum. The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured in the wreck.
Slocum said the driver of the 18-wheeler was headed east on Highway 103, and the person made an unsafe U-turn in front of the Jeep SUV.
