LUFKIN, TX (News Release) - On September 12, 2017, three families that had applied to the Kidd’s Kids program were invited to a dinner with Dan Patrick, on air personality at KAFX-FM. The families of Tia’Ahlee Maxie, Brooklyn Oliver, and Honor Tinsley believed they were attending a simple dinner, but there was a grand reveal planned as all three families had submitted themselves for the Kidd’s Kids trip.

What they didn’t know and learned at the dinner was that they all had been selected to go to Disney, all expenses paid, for their entire families, including parents and siblings. Badders Law Firm of Lufkin and Nacogdoches gifted each of these deserving families a check for $1,000 for any extras that they would want or need while on, or before the trip. The kids are understandably excited, and very happy that they will be attending Disney with other people from the area.

The Community Food Drive in Lufkin is special to some because of the large amount of people it brings together from all walks of life.  "It's just like so many different people, very diverse," said volunteer, Priscilla Gonzalez. "It's just kind of cool to see all these people coming together to do one thing." For others, like Keith Kennedy, it's all about the service being provided to the greater community. "They're in miracle territory,...More >>
