HEMPHILL, TX (KTRE) - A 23-year-old Hemphill man who bought beer and wine for an underage girl and then sexually assaulted her in 2015 agreed to a plea bargain deal of 15 years in a Texas Department of Criminal Justice prison Thursday.
Sabine County District Attorney Kevin Dutton said that Alexander Drake White pleaded guilty to felony aggravated sexual assault of a child as part of the plea bargain deal.
White was arrested on the charge on Oct. 9, 2015.
According to the arrest affidavit, a Sabine County Sheriff's Office deputy met with the alleged victim at the Harold's House East Texas Alliance for Children on June 23, 2015, where a forensic interview was conducted.
During the interview, the underage girl said that White and two other men bought beer and wine for her and her friends. The girl, who is under the age of 14, told the interviewer that after she had been drinking, she and White had sex, the affidavit stated.
The victim told the interviewer that she told White that it hurt, and that after he told her it would be OK, he continued to have intercourse with her, the affidavit stated. Later, the victim told White to stop, and he did.
