17-year-old boy dies in an early morning crash

HOUSTON COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

A Crockett boy has died in an early morning single vehicle wreck on Sunday.

According to DPS, Tyress Anderson, 17, a student at Crockett was traveling south on County Road 1825, six miles north of Crockett, at an unsafe speed when he entered a curve. At that point Anderson left the road and entered a side-skid where his 2002 Chevy Tahoe overturned.

Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Clyde Black.

The single vehicle wreck happened at 6 a.m.

DPS said Anderson was taken to Callaway Allee Funeral Home.
