Cancer can bring life changes. Suddenly a person faces a serious illness, loss of income and mounting bills.
Cancer survivor Vanessa Ross knows first hand about these things after being diagnosed in February with non Hodgkin's lymphoma. Today she's coping much better thanks to the Tony- Franklin foundation. It's an organization that helps meet the needs of cancer survivors from Nacogdoches County.
Founder Dorothy Kelly said, "If the rent needs to be paid, we pay it. If they're hungry, we feed them and we're there for them to lean on if they need us." Ross said, "I feel strong even just talking to her , talking to Mrs. Kelly about the foundation, about the cancer, about everything."
