NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Officers with the Nacogdoches Police Department arrested a 25-year-old woman after she allegedly got into an argument with her child's father and stabbed him with a kitchen knife.
Jasmine Shantal Pleasant, of Nacogdoches, was booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail on a second-degree felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge. She was released from the jail later Saturday after she posted a bail amount of $5,000.
When NPD officers responded to a report of an alleged assault at a home in the 1000 block of South Street, the alleged victim told them that he had gotten into an argument with Pleasant, and it got physical, the affidavit stated.
Pleasant allegedly told officers the same account of what happened. She said she stabbed her child's father during an argument that got physical.
Officers arrested Pleasant at the scene without incident and took her to the county jail.
