School Ratings Released

School administrators across East Texas are taking a close look at their district's accountability ratings. The annual report card was released Monday afternoon by the Texas Education Agency.

Only ten school districts in the state received the highest rating of "Exemplary." Lufkin and Nacogdoches school districts were among the the 986 districts that rated "Academically Acceptable." Lufkin had five recognized campuses. Nacogdoches had one exemplary school. The rest were acceptable.

Science and math scores brought scores down this year for most districts statewide.
