ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - The Angelina County Commissioner's Court approved a tax abatement for LufTex Gears.
The company is reporting growth and expansion aiming to add more jobs.
At the commissioner's court meeting on Tuesday, the company report its plans to double the size of their facility. They said they will be installing bigger cranes and adding services, along with growing their manufacturing sector.
Rufus Duncan told the court that the facility currently has 19 employees, and their goal is to double that number.
LufTex Gears is a gear repair facility created more than a year ago.
The tax reduction will pertain to improvements to the company's property.
