This recipe is easy to make, and it's not only delicious alongside your turkey and dressing, but also over cream cheese served with crackers, or on a turkey sandwich as a condiment!
Four-ingredient whole berry cranberry sauce
One small bag of fresh cranberries (about 4 cups)
20 ounce can of crushed pineapple, drained
one large red Apple, chopped
1 tablespoon brown sugar
Combine the cranberries and pineapple in a 3-quart saucepan set over medium-high heat. Stir them together, and bring to a simmer. Allow them to simmer for 15 minutes, stirring frequently.
Next, add the chopped apple, and simmer for 10 more minutes, stirring frequently.
At the end of that time, if the sauce is too tart for your liking, add the brown sugar, stir in, and allow to dissolve completely before serving. Sauce sweetens and thickens as it cools.
Serve alongside your turkey and dressing on Thanksgiving, or use over cream cheese served with crackers.
It’s even delicious on a leftover turkey sandwich!
