Elkhart native Jeffrey Wilson out at least next two games, possibly done for year
Wilson celebrates after scoring a touchdown.
ELKHART, TX (KLTV) -
In other college football news, Elkhart native and North Texas running back Jeffrey Wilson scored two touchdowns and had over 70 rushing yards in UNT's win over Army on Saturday.
The East Texan's senior campaign though is likely over. Wilson suffered an ankle injury in the victory and will not play against Rice or in next week's Conference USA championship game. There is a possibility he could return for the Mean Green's bowl game.
On the year, Wilson has rushed for over 1,200 yards to go with 16 touchdowns, which ranks seventh in the nation. Even if Wilson never plays another snap, he will go down as one of the best to ever play for UNT.
His over 3,200 hundred career yards ranks fourth in program history, and 32 touchdowns is good for third all time.
