CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Musician Nick Lachey turned to Twitter for help tracking down the suspect who shot an employee outside his downtown Cincinnati bar on Thanksgiving morning.

Ellie Richardson, 27, was leaving Lachey’s Bar around 3 a.m. when she was shot in the face on Walnut Street.  Cincinnati Police said Richardson suffered non-life threatening injuries.

According to a fundraising website, Richardson is in stable condition but “it's still unclear how long she'll be in the hospital and what her recovery process will entail.”

Nick and Drew Lachey, his brother and 98 Degrees bandmate, encouraged their Twitter followers to donate to a YouCaring account set up for Richardson’s medical bills.

“Ellie is the brightest light and she will find a way to shine through this darkness. Anyone with any information, help us find some justice,” Nick wrote on Twitter.

The Lachey brothers opened their namesake sports bar and restaurant in 2015. It is located at 12th and Walnut streets in Cincinnati's busy Over-the-Rhine neighborhood.

Richardson had just finished bartending at Lachey's when she was almost hit by a van outside the restaurant, authorities said. She and the driver got into a verbal argument before the suspect fired a weapon.

Police believe the male suspect was wearing gold-rimmed glasses and had a light beard.

Investigators released a photo of a van believed to be connected to the shooting. Police initially said the owners and occupants of the van were wanted for questioning, but did not release details of the vehicle’s alleged involvement in the crime.

Anyone with information about the shooting or suspects is asked to call CRIMESTOPPERS at 513-352-3040.
