It was a busy weekend for retailers across the state. A lot of customers showed up to take advantage of the tax free weekend.
The shoppers wanted to save money on supplies and clothes. Many stood in line to get those bargains.
Managers at Wal-Mart in Nacogdoches say this year's sales numbers were better than expected. David Avant, a co-manager, said, "We did notice there was less traffic, but people were buying more."
Managers at Wal-Mart have already started talking about ways to improve next year's revenues during the tax free weekend.
