Nacogdoches ISD removing elementary principal

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - A Nacogdoches ISD principal has been pulled off an elementary school campus.

The exact reason "why" has not yet been confirmed by the superintendent.

Bradley Durham is no longer principal of Nettie Marshall Elementary School.

The 12-year veteran at NISD was brought in to the superintendent's office last week.
He was told he has until after the Christmas break to make a decision to resign or accept a reassignment.
NISD Superintendent Sandra Dowdy said Thursday the ball is now in Durham's court.

"At this time, it's a personnel issue that I can't go into, but we feel like Mr Durham would be best suited at the Malcolm Rector and serve well as assistant principal there if he chooses to do so," Dowdy said.

Dowdy said she couldn't disclose details of the matter, but that Durham could.

"I wish I could comment, but I have been instructed that all communication has to go through the superintendent," Durham said in a phone call Thursday.
