HUDSON, TX (KTRE) -

The Hudson Fire Department was on the scene of a house fire.

The home on 160 Magnolia Bend Drive caught on fire around 6 p.m. Sunday.

Two people were in the home at the time of the fire, but the both escaped- unharmed.

Hudson Fire Chief Marcial Foisie said it's still unknown what caused the fire.

"It's tragic for them to lose their house on on Christmas Eve and plus we did a county wide page for all the departments to come assist us with water, because we're having water difficulties and we're going to whatever we can to help these people out," Foisie said.

Foisie said The American Red Cross will provide shelter and supplies for the family as needed.
