At least four people died when the back of an 18-wheeler came unhitched and slammed into their car in North Texas.
A communications officer with the Texas Department of Public Safety says that the wreck Saturday evening happened on U.S. Highway 82, a few miles east of Sherman.
Grayson County Justice of the Peace Greg Middents told the Sherman/Denison Herald-Democrat that two adults and two teenagers were killed.
Their bodies were taken to the Dallas County medical examiners office. A man says he was driving behind the tractor-trailer when he saw sparks and realized the open-bed trailer carrying heavy equipment had come unhitched.
