BOSSIER PARISH, LA (KSLA) -

Bossier sheriff's deputies are looking for several men who led them on a high-speed chase in a stolen car Monday night.

A deputy reported seeing a Volkswagen Passat traveling west at 89 mph in a 55-mph zone on U.S. Highway 80 near the Princeton post office.

When the deputy tried to pull over the car, it sped away at speeds of nearly 90 mph.

The chase continued onto Louisiana Highway 157, with the Passat traveling on the shoulder, almost causing it to crash into the trees.

The deputy followed the Passat on Interstate 20 at speeds of around 125 mph, again driving on the shoulder to pass other vehicles.

The car then turned onto Interstate 220 before exiting onto Shed Road and later crashing into a brick entrance at Stockwell Place Estates.

The deputy said he saw five men get out of the Passat and run.

Authorities found no one in the car.

The Sheriff's Office reports that the deputy found two handguns, which had been reported as stolen, and small particles of marijuana in the vehicle.

Authorities urge anyone with any information to call the Sheriff's Office at (318) 965-2203
