Texas Obesity Numbers Grow

The number of obese adults in Texas continues to grow, but the increase is a fairly small 0.4%. The latest numbers show, last year, 25.3% of Texas adults would be considered obese.

Doctors know the advantage of good eating and exercise habits early in life.

Dr. Rima Kittley said, "I think the little ones will learn by watching the big ones. If the parents change what they do, then the children will learn."

All but one state saw an increase in obesity growth. The exception was Oregon.
