NASA wants to fly your name into the Sun

(KLTV) -

NASA is inviting people from around the world to submit their names online to be placed on a microchip that will be aboard their historic Solar Probe mission launching this summer.

The probe will go where humanity has never gone before -- and your name will be along for the ride.

The spacecraft will fly directly into the Sun's atmosphere to give scientists a better understanding of how the Sun's particles interact in the atmosphere.  Temperatures will reach 2,500 degrees Fahrenheit and the spacecraft will hit speeds of 430,000 miles-per-hour before it is eventually burnt to a crisp.

If you'd like to enter for a chance to have your name among those blown up and burnt to bits, click here to visit the Parker Solar Probe website.
