Cracking Down On Bus Laws

Troopers from the Department of Public Safety have been staking out Highway 59 North since the school year started. They have been writing out tickets to drivers who are breaking bus laws.

Troopers are not writing as many tickets as they were at the beginning of the year. They are hoping drivers are getting the message. Area bus drivers are still seeing a lot of drivers not stopping for them when they have their red lights on when they pick up children.

Troopers will continue working Highway 59, and they have plans to work Highway 69 near Central and Highway 94 near Hudson.
