Combined law enforcement effort leads to 3 arrests in burglaries in Angelina, Houston counties

ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

A combined effort by law enforcement agencies in Angelina and Houston counties and the Texas Rangers resulted in three felony arrests in a string of burglaries. 

According to a press release, Shawn Andrus, 34, Kaylon L.Grimes, 43, and Brandi Womack-Luther, 33 were arrested in connection with the investigation. They were charged with burglary of a habitation, burglary of a building, and theft of firearms.

Grimes and Womack-Luther are currently being held in the Angelina County Jail. Andrus is in the Houston County Jail, the press release stated.

The investigation that led to three arrests was a combined effort by Angelina County Sheriff’s Office deputies, Pct. 3 Constable Chad Wilson, the Huntington Police Department, investigators with the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, and the Texas Rangers.

“Area investigators are continuing to run down leads and recover property,” the press release stated. “The cases are still under investigation. The Angelina County Sheriff’s Department is appreciative of the assistance of the other agencies.”
