ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Students who entered the Angelina County Youth Fair displayed the goats they've been raising for the past year on Thursday.

Goats were judged on their broad shoulders, chest, their ability to be well balanced from head to tail and their muscle. They were divided into 5 weight classes ranging from light to heavy. Sixth grader Tallon Garcia won in the medium-heavy class of the competition. He said he's glad his hard work paid off.

"We built an exercise pen to where we have PVC pipes where he has to jump and so he runs around and jumps through PVC pipes through exercise and he does 6 laps, and we bring him back in the pen and feed him," Garcia said.

Garcia said he has been raising his goat for just about a year.
