Nstep ™ Physical Rehabilitation and Wellness Centers

the goal of occupational therapy is to help patients regain functioning skills that may have been reduced by illness, injury or developmental disabilities. After evaluating each patient, an individualized treatment plan is designed to:

  • Increase independence in daily living skills such as eating, dressing, bathing, personal care and homemaking
  • Increase joint mobility, muscle strength and coordination
  • Provide muscle re-education, energy conservation and compensatory techniques in order to help patients accomplish daily tasks
  • Determine environmental adaptations or assistive devices including positioning
  • Splinting to stabilize joints, reduce pain or prevent deformities
  • Provide home environmental assessments
