Physical Therapy

Physical therapy can foster patients' independence and enable functional mobility skills following or in spite of, orthopedic or neurological conditions or injuries. This is accomplished through individualized evaluation and treatment plans that:

  • Improve walking and general mobility
  • Enhance balance skills and fall prevention
  • Increase strength, joint mobility and coordination
  • Recommend necessary assistive devices to enhance safe mobility
  • Manage pain
  • Promote wound healing
  • Use heat, ultrasound, water and other modalities to enhance progress in treatment programs
  • Provide home environmental assessments that ensure safety and function when patients return home
