Cade Foehner rocks into American Idol Top 10

Shelbyville native Cade Foehner has secured a spot in the Top 10 of "American Idol."

Foehner performed Black Magic Woman live Sunday night when voting opened for the first time since the competition's reboot. Watch the performance here:

The 21-year-old East Texas musician has impressed the trio of judges since his audition during the first round of the competition, but now it's up to America to secure his spot on the show through votes.

Foehner was one of the first three announced as the Top Ten finalist Monday night.

For the first time ever, American Idol will air the votes live in real time across the country as the Top Ten takes the stage next week, on April 28.

In August he auditioned in Dallas for the show. He was selected for the Top 50 and then made it into the Top 24 with a performance of Kaleo's "No Good."
Fans may associate the East Texan with the distinctive feather attached to his guitar.
Foehner spoke with KTRE previously about his journey in the competition so far. You can read about his experience being on the show here.
