LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -
Back here at home people reacted to the verdict of Bill Cosby.
Employees at Family Crisis Center said April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and hopes this will help more people be educated on what it is.
Community Outreach Coordinator, Greta Rich, believes this verdict may empower more people to open up and tell their story.
"Yes I do believe that more people may come forward just like the me too campaign that's been so familiar," Rich said. "But whoever it is, I do hope that this will lay the groundwork for more people to come forward with their story."
Rich said at the Family Crisis Center their goal is to educate on what sexual assault is and also teach bystanders to know when to step in.
