The run through district was not enough to determine the final playoff seedings of rivals Huntington and Diboll. After splitting their regular season meetings, the two decided to meet at Angelina College for a third game.
Both teams came out hot at the plate as the two combined for 12 runs in the first two innings with Diboll leading 7-5.
Huntington would settle in and take a 10-8 lead into the sixth but that is all the runs they could get as the Lumberjacks came back and led 11-10 going into the bottom of the seventh. Huntington was unable to make a late comeback. With the win, Diboll gets the three seed out of 21-4A. They will now play Little Cypress in the Bi-District round of the playoffs. Huntington will be the four seed and will match up against Bridge City.
