SHELBY COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - The Shelby County Sheriff's Office is now reporting that the 15-year-old girl who was reported missing Wednesday has been found safe.
"Anderson has been located safe," a post on the Shelby County Sheriff's Office Facebook page stated. "More information will be released regarding her disappearance tomorrow."
An update posted Thursday morning stated that information the sheriff's office received indicates that Anderson left Timspon High School Wednesday afternoon at about 3:30 p.m. She left the school in a dark-colored early 2000s-model Chevrolet Tahoe with a white male driver and a white female passenger.
"She is considered a runaway," the updated Facebook post stated.
Anderson was believed to be in the area of Logansport, Louisiana, located about 25 miles east of Timpson.
