Shelby County SO asking for help finding woman with warrants for child endangerment, drugs

SHELBY COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in finding a woman with outstanding felony warrants for endangering a child and possession of a controlled substance.

The sheriff’s office posted on its Facebook page that they are trying to find Brittany Celine Barber, 30, of Joaquin. She is described as 5-feet-4 inches tall. She has brown hair and hazel eyes.

The post stated that Barber has two active warrants - one for third-degree felony possession of a controlled substance one for state-jail felony endangering a child.

Anyone with any information about Barber’s whereabouts is urged to call the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office at (936) 598-5601.

“If anyone is found to be hindering the apprehension, harboring or concealing, providing or aiding with any means of avoiding arrest or effecting escape, or warns Barber of impending discovery or apprehension, will be arrested and charged in accordance to Penal Code 38.05 Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution, a Felony 3 offense,” the Facebook post stated.
