SHELBY COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

A Shelby County constable located and arrested a 30-year-old woman who was wanted on outstanding felony warrants for possession of a controlled substance and child endangerment Friday.

Brittany Barber, of Joaquin, was booked into the Shelby County for third-degree felony possession of a controlled substance and state-jail felony abandoning or endangering a child. She was released from the jail on Sunday after she posted bail on a collective bond amount of $25,000.

According to a press release on the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office website, Pct. 2 Constable Roy Cheatwood received a tip about Barber’s whereabouts and found her in Joaquin. SCSO deputy Michael Griffin assisted with the arrest.

Last week, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office asked for the public’s help in finding Barber.
