Women's Shelter Of East Texas Offering Services To Evacuees

There's no doubt all of the stress many evacuees are experiencing can take it's toll.

Folks at the Women's Shelter of East Texas say they are preparing to offer their services if needed.

"In any high stress situation, it can create domestic violence or sexual assault issues. I think unfortunately, we are going to see that." says Women's Shelter Assistant Director Josalyn Penner.

Many Texas programs are developing plans with the Red Cross to provide shelter services to domestic violence victims displaced by Hurricane Katrina.
