Jasper County jury sentences man who sexually assaulted girl to 75 years

JASPER, TX (KTRE) -

A Jasper County jury sentenced a 45-year-old Evadale man to 75 years in a Texas Department of Criminal Justice prison for sexually assaulting a young girl in 2014 and 2015.

The child was 11 at the time of the crimes, according to a story that appeared on the KJAS.com website.

According to a spokeswoman for the Jasper County District Attorney’s Office, Maion Lee King Jr. was convicted of continuous sexual assault of a child. Thursday. Not long after the jury made its decision, they sentenced King to 75 years in prison.

King’s jury trial started earlier this week.
