CENTER, TX (KTRE) - Cade Foehner has performed on many stages throughout his music career. But Sunday night became his last night to perform on American Idol.

The East Texas native was a contestant on "American Idol," and his dreams to winning idol came to an end last night. The Shelbyville native didn't make it to the top 3 selection, but it's the community now who is still showing support.

"The first thing I said was 'Oh well he didn't make American Idol', but he's going to go places," said Chelsea Hicks, a fan. "He's definitely has stuff lined up for him without a doubt."

Place after place, including Darrell's BBQ, showing signs of support in Center and Shelbyville, which send a message that they still back their favorite rock star with the decorative guitar.

"It's going to take a while for people to process it including myself, but he's always going to be number 1 here regardless," said Sheila Jones, an organizer of the watch parties. "This is home, and we all love him up here, and he'll always be our number one."
Cade's pastor, Chris Collins, said the musician is doing well on Monday. Collins said Foehner is relying on his faith and said he's right where he is supposed to be.

"It doesn't affect us at all because we know that even though he didn't make it he still going to do great things," said Halie Lavergne, a high school classmate.

Foehner is scheduled to perform once again on the season finale of "American Idol." Additionally, he will also go on a three-month summer tour with the top 7 finalists.
