Nacogdoches officers investigating after cat set on fire

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Animal control officers in Nacogdoches seized a cat after it was set on fire.

The incident was reported around 5 p.m. in the afternoon on Monday.

The cat was found by the maintenance of the Cypress Ridge Apartments.

An officer contacted an officer from animal control who collected the animal. 

The cat is recovering at the City of Nacogdoches Animal Services.

The incident is under investigation. No charges have been filed and no arrest has been made.
