The Sabine County Sheriff's phones lines are back up and functional after a lightning strike caused the system to shut down.
All but one of the Sabine County Sheriff's Office phone lines were down as a result of a lightning strike that occurred Sunday night.
"The Sabine County Sheriff's Office got hit by lightning last night," a post on the Sabine County Facebook page stated. "All of the phones are down except (409) 787-5234."
Sabine County Sheriff Thomas Maddux said Monday that all their phone lines except one are down, and they were working to get everything back online.
The post also said that 911 is back to working properly after the lightning strike.
