ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Love's Travel Stops opened its new location at 5614 U.S. Highway 59 North Thursday morning.

The travel stop will employ 55 people.

"We're excited to join the community of Lufkin, Texas, and serve even more of our Customers," said Tom Love, founder and executive chairman of Love's. "Lufkin is home to some great people and is at an intersection of several major highways in the area. We're ready to serve Customers with the clean places and friendly faces Love's is known for."

The more than 10,000-square-foot facility will be open 24/7, and it features an Arby's restaurant. the store also offers brand-name snacks, gourmet coffee, fresh-to-go options, fountain drinks, electronics, and more. For professional drivers, the travel stop also has 94 truck parking spots, laundry facilities, seven showers, and a Love's Truck Store Tire Care center.

"We are pleased to welcome our new neighbors to the Lufkin retail community," said Lufkin Mayor Bob Brown. "Establishing Love's Travel Sops on the future Interstate 69 will encourage travelers to visit our city, which always creates jobs and tourism. "We wish them well in our community."

The store brings the total number of Love's locations in Texas to 69.
