NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - A Nacogdoches Venturing Scout of America has perfectly timed the completion of a scouting project.

Nat Scott raised money to purchase bags supplied for foster children in East Texas. The delivery came in this week as Foster Care Awareness Month wraps up. Scott's efforts exceeded his expectations.

"I raised enough for 60 bags, that's what they asked for," Scott said. I reached over my goal within a week. I got over 32 more bags than I planned originally."

The bags will be kept in Rainbow Rooms at Child Protective Services offices across the region.
