NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - One of those 275 vendors at the Texas Blueberry Festival will be the Texas Medical Association hard hats for little heads.

The Nacogdoches-San Augustine County Medical Society, with support from Nacogdoches Medical Center, will be giving away 150 free bicycle helmets.

"When you come downtown to see us on June 9 between 10 and 12 we will tell you three things," said Dr. Modupe Sokunbi, "Two, V, and 1. The two is for two fingers between your helmet and the eyebrow. The V is for the straps to lay flat between your ears. And just 1 finger between your chin when it's properly fixed."
The hard hats for little heads will be right next to the Cool Zone in Festival Park.

While there, look for the bike shop. For the first time, rental bikes for guided tours will take place at the Blueberry Festival.

Also, this was the last day of school in Nacogdoches, so be watchful of children enjoying their vacation on a bike.
