ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Habitat for Humanity of Angelina County is calling for more volunteers.
The organization said they are constructing one of their biggest projects. So far, the foundation has been laid, but this weekend are looking to make major progress on the home on 200 Mill Street which will go to a single mother with seven children.
Resource Coordinator Shelby Farr said volunteering lifts and improves the community.
"As a member of the community, you want to give back to those around you," Farr said. "I think none of us are able to make it on our own and always need to rely on other people. Everyone has come to a point in life when they needed help."
The organization is looking at least a dozen or more volunteers.
