LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

A Lufkin homeowner whose home was damaged in a fire has now been reunited with their family pet.

The dog went missing during the fire June 8 fire.

About 11:10 a.m. Friday, Lufkin Police Department, Lufkin Fire Department and emergency management personnel responded to the 100 block of Westmont Street in response to a structure fire.

When they arrived, they found a house engulfed in flames.

It is unclear if anyone was home at the time or if anyone was injured.

The fire caused a large hole to form in the center of the roof.

By about 11:40 a.m. the fire was under control.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
