LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

A Lufkin woman celebrated a rare achievement on Wednesday: one century of life.

Maggie Mann turned 100-years-old and celebrated with at least two dozen friends and family members who gathered to mark the milestone. The birthday girl even took selfies and remarked what a great day it turned out to be.

"I feel great, I really feel great," Mann said. "All of these people, it's wonderful."

Mann was born in Lufkin on June 13, 1918. In her life, she served as a cook for Lufkin Independent School District and helped take care of clients during her time at the state school.
