ONALASKA, TX (KTRE) - A Polk County grand jury has indicted a former church employee and wife of a county commissioner on two charges of theft.

Linda Lucille Vincent, 53, of Onalaska, is charged with two counts of second-degree theft. She was arrested on the charge on Thursday and has posted a collective bond of $30,000.

According to the text of the indictment, Vincent stole an amount between $30,000 and $150,000 from First Baptist Church of Onalaska between January 2010 and August 2017. She also stole an amount in the same range from an elderly man between January 2017 and August 2017.

Church Pastor Allen Bramlett confirmed Vincent was employed with the church and that she is married to County Commissioner Ronnie Vincent. Bramlett said the church would not be making comment on the case.

Polk County District Attorney Lee Hon deferred comment to Liberty County District Attorney Logan Pickett, as Hon has recused his office from the case. Calls to Pickett have not been returned.
