Suspect in Crockett double stabbing turns himself in

CROCKETT, TX (KTRE) - The suspect in a double stabbing incident that occurred in Crockett Saturday is now in custody.

According to the Crockett Police Department, Maurice O. Peterson turned himself in Saturday evening. Peterson was wanted in connection to a stabbing incident that left two people injured.

According to a press release from the department, two people were stabbed in the 100 block of Barnhill in Crockett at about 9:45 a.m Friday. Peterson allegedly fled the scene of the stabbing on foot before police officers arrived.

The two victims were transported to a trauma center for treatment of their injuries.
