TEMPLE, TX (KXXV) -

A car wash owner in Temple is asking for the public's help in determining who burglarized his property.

"It's something we shouldn't have to deal with," Wesley Teeters, owner of Wildcat Car Wash, said.

Teeters has owned the car wash for about a year now. He said he's seen a lot of issues at his car wash recently.

"It's just so frustrating," Teeters said.

Teeters slept at the car wash a week ago because he said someone damaged some of his property. He said a car with two men pulled up looking like they were going to vacuum their car, but they didn't.

"They went over there and cut the two locks," Teeters said.

He said they cut locks of machines, looking for money. When they didn't find any money, they moved on to another machine.

"All a sudden [in the video] I see a flame. And I was like what the heck. It was a cutting torch," Teeters said.

He said it took the man a few tries to use the cutting torch to open one of the machines, but once he did, he took the money and drove off.

Teeters said he's frustrated that this type of crime keeps happening at his car wash.

"I'm very thankful for what I have because I used to not have this. But now that I do I want to give back," Teeters said.

Wildcat Car Wash donates part of their proceeds to give students scholarships and give back to the community.

"It may only be a $500 scholarship but it may make the difference from this guy flipping burgers or being an attorney, a doctor and a lawyer. You want to give them that opportunity. And when they do this they're taking away from the community in my eyes," Teeters said.

He's asking anyone with information to call Temple Police. Temple Police confirmed they have a number of cases open from crime at the car wash in the last several months.
