Nacogdoches - Details tonight on the expansion of a Deep East Texas business. Elliott Electric Supply is enhancing high tech in Nacogdoches.

It's called NacSpace, a state-of-the-art information technology and data center.

At the same time, it's building a larger retail store for its electrical products.

Construction is happening now adjacent to Elliott headquarters on North Stallings.

Both projects will bring jobs of a very different nature to Nacogdoches according to Phillip Hale, chief information officer for Elliott Electric Supply and NacSpace president.

"This is something that the bigger cities do and they have data centers and remote office space and individuals, but we want to retain and bring more it professionals to East Texas."

Monday morning, at 10 Elliott Electric Supply Company will hold a groundbreaking ceremony and will explain the information technology that attracts future, new and existing businesses.

The facilities are expected to open in the spring of 2019.
