If You Live Out In The Country, Your Power Might Still Be Out

by Jessica Cervantez

If you live out in the country, you may still be without power.

Deep East Texas Co-op employees continue to work on restoring power. There are still about 8-thousand customers without electricity.

The outages are mainly in San Augustine, Sabine, and Newton counties.

It could take anywhere from 7 to 10 more days to get the power restored. Workers are having to deal with the elements of the national forest and areas where there are a lot of power lines down, but not a lot of customers, so it is taking more time to get the power up.
