by Jessica Cervantez

One more East Texas shelter closed its doors to storm evacuees. The HOPE Center in Lufkin still had 20 evacuees left Monday. Tuesday, the last of them were driven back to Port Arthur.

The rest of the day was spent cleaning-up.

At one point, the HOPE Center had 470 evacuees. Almost three weeks later, they are ready to get back to helping their community.

The HOPE Center does have one evacuee left. A dog they named Hope. Hope evacuated on one of the buses. No one knows who he belongs too, but he has made a home at the HOPE Center.
