A Lesson In Fire Prevention

by Jessica Cervantez

Hudson primary students are getting a lesson in survival. A lesson that could one day save their lives, if they are ever caught in a dangerous situation involving fire.

Golden Bass, the Hudson fire marshall, told the kids, "If the smoke is in your house, you get on the floor and crawl low and get out through the door or the window."

And while the kids are having a good time, they're taking away at least one important message.

Brendin Woodard and Cecelia Lopez both knew you were supposed to stop, drop, and roll, if your clothes ever caught on fire.

Of course, the kids enjoyed the tour of the fire truck, the flashing lights, and seeing the firemen in their suits. This is all an effort to recognize Fire Prevention Week.
