Hurricane recovery continues all over East Texas. One place making progress is Jasper.
More Jasper County businesses are opening, more power is being restored, and school is now back in session, but many residents there still need water and ice. They are also relying on the Red Cross for food.
A lot of small communities remain without power. Workers have been busy trying to restore it, but downed trees aren't making that job any easier.
Linda Morgan, a Jasper resident, said, "There is still quite a few people out here that don't have electricity yet. Just five minutes ago, we got electricity at the office, little by little."
You can get water, ice, and food from the Red Cross at the Upper Jasper County Water Authority building.
